Hello from Italy

Hello everybody. Been invited to introduce myself, so here goes. I've been on and off the forum for a good few years now. Had other names but due to my ineptitude with accounts and passwords, I've ended up re-joining.
I was born in Swaziland, grew up in Pontefract (West Yorkshire), spent a few years in Armley (Leeds), and have now been here in Veneto, Italy, since 1998.
In Ponte in the 1970s, you had no choice but be Leeds, and I'd say I've supported Leeds as long as I remember, although for long periods it was fairly casual, basically just checking the results. Strangely, I got serious about Leeds United when we were at our lowest ebb in 2007 because Italian TV was showing highlights of League One games!

Welcome to the forum. That was a great first post you made. I bet Veneto is a bit different to Pontefract. If you're intending on sticking around why not stick a pin in our members map

It was Dunhills when I lived there. The pride in the Pontefract Cake hasn't diminished since the German takeover mind, and when I got married to a Veneto lass, our mam brought over tons of the stuff to hand out to the wedding guests post fancy Italian meal. They loved it.
