The Masters

Post by Davycc »

Well it's started again. As a real duffer who hasn't played for over four years I must admit I love the masters. That, the Open and the Ryder Cup are must watches for me. Don't follow any other golf really.
So those that are interested who do you fancy/want to win?

For me.
Fancy - Cameron Smith

Sadly, Rory's putting isn't good enough for a win at the Masters. Lee Westwood has the same problem. Wouldn't be surprised if Tiger Woods withdraws before the end, I think he's taken too much on, too soon.

I once played against Don Revie.

100% John. That and one or two wayward drives each round ends his challenge every time.

Same here regarding watching the golf.

Fancy - Had a little flutter on Tony Finau
Want - Would love Westwood to win it, or Tommy Fleetwood.

Fancy - Jon Rahm
Want - Rory

Being Irish, I'd love to see Shane Lowry have a cracker.
Seamus Power too in his maiden masters.
Padraig Harrington has had his great times, but I hope he doesn't tank.

For sheer entertainment, love to see Sergio in the final shake up, but it won't happen.
Agree with Sir John, don't think Tiger will make it safely through the week, but him and Sergio coming down the last would be a psychological battle of opposites :D

What an extraordinary round. 8 birdies book-ended with 2x double bogies.

Is Greg Norman or Nick Faldo still playing?

Colin Montgomerie is a Leeds fan I'll pick him!
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

That’s about the limit of my knowledge in this sport too Mr R.
