I went to Layer Road a few times but have never been inside Colchester's 'new' ground although I have been past it loads of times.
I only went the once to the FA Cup game, doesn’t evoke good memories if I’m honest. As I said earlier I visited the Community Stadium twice in 2009 & even though we won both games it still didn’t leave a very good impression with me. I’ve said many times before I dislike these new grounds as they tend to be on a industrial estate with nothing nearby like food outlets or pubs. One that sticks out is the Deva Stadium home to Chester City we played there in a League Cup game, it was everything that’s bad about modern stadiums.

That Ipswich game goes down in Leeds Utd history, the Scratching Sheds last game. Torn down afterwards to be replaced by the South Stand.
