I know they don't always get it right but I believe its a good guide to monitor bookies odds so thought I'd start a thread where we can keep up to date on how things look.
Aren't most odds listings just based on the punters and their bets? Only reason I ask is that I saw that there is a list of managers to replace Rooney at Derby, and Cooper of Forest was something like 12 to 1Selby White wrote:I know they don't always get it right but I believe its a good guide to monitor bookies odds so thought I'd start a thread where we can keep up to date on how things look.
A few are that is for sure but think bookies like to get it right for obvious reasons, expensive game if the don'tAnother Northern Soul wrote:Aren't most odds listings just based on the punters and their bets? Weird that Everton are so 'less likely' than us isn't it?Selby White wrote:And for those a little nervous all the bookies have either Brentford or ourselves as 4th favourites for relegation at around 5/2 or 13/5
odds averaged between bookies -
Bournemouth 4/7
Forest 10/11
Fulham 6/5
Just above us
Southampton 11/4
Everton 4/1
Only thing that favours them is history, they never seem to go down, watch this spaceAnother Northern Soul wrote:Weird that Everton are so 'less likely' than us isn't it?Selby White wrote:And for those a little nervous all the bookies have either Brentford or ourselves as 4th favourites for relegation at around 5/2 or 13/5

Thought of you BB when I first saw to this thread, wandering what the bet would be for the coming season.Barlow Boy wrote:As I’ve mentioned previously, I have a decent sized bet on us at the beginning of every season. I keep a log of them, and I’m currently around £15k up. I lost last year, as I had us to get 50 points or more, my first loss in 5 seasons from memory.
I’m thinking of taking on Brentford in a straight match bet this time round, it’s around 4/5.
