Watched another documentary last night on Bury FC what a horrible man Steve Dale is.

Still watching this & really enjoying it. Was never a big fan of GRJ but he’s good in this. He covers everything from gold prospecting, sheep farming, drag queens and of course railways. Anyone with a bit of travel bug about them will enjoy this series. After we’ve finished he’s another series this time exploring New Zealand, that’s something to look forward to.

Last night watched, 'JFK Revisited, Through The Looking Glass.'
New Oliver Stone documentary about the 1963 assassination of President Kennedy.
You got the feeling that Oliver Stone was a prosecuting lawyer, presenting a case against the CIA for involvement and the Warren committee investigation for cover up. A mountain of facts to absorb, too many unanswered questions.
Some new classified information released to add to the mountain of books written and theories about JFK assassination.
Added ammunition for people who believe in the 'conspiracy' theory.
A long list of facts and interviews.I wouldn't recommend watching for entertainment, but anybody with interest in JFK definitely worth it.

Just watched, 'In The Heart Of The Sea.' 2015 film about a giant Whale, after being harpooned comes back to get revenge on ship and crew.
I would describe the film as 'Action/adventure', a good film for family viewing,except for implied caniballism and some human bones in the boat, no bad language, no sex, little violence as in shootouts etc.
The story is a little bit predictable, but there is enough action to stay interested, and definitely much historical info about the way of life and the whaling industry.
The story is based around a voyage of a whaling ship out of Nantucket Island in the early 1800's, actually just off the coast from where I live in the north east United States
While all the storms and confrontations with the whale are going on there are a couple of side stories, that being the difference of background, decision making and opinion of the Captain and First Mate, and the experiences of which a 15 year old deck hand goes through.
The start of the film is actually the story of the voyage being told by the teenager, now an aging alcoholic, to an author many years later, the film is inter spaced with references to the story by the old man.
Nantucket was the center of the whaling industry in the early 1800's, before the town of New Bedford on the mainland became more prominent because of it's excellent harbour, access to transportation, both of the whale oil and supplies needed, shipyards,workshops, banking, supply of workers etc.
The film was of particular interest to me because I live in the area where the film story is set. Although dead now, the whaling industry established industry in this region, we are surrounded by reminders of those days. There is no industry on Nantucket now, except for tourists. It has become a super high $ place to live where film stars, politicians etc holiday and buy houses.
