Jabba's Comments |
Younger of the two Greenhoff brothers, Brian followed the opposite
path to Jimmy, playing for both Leeds and Manchester United, but
starting out on the "wrong" side of the Pennines and winning an FA Cup
Winners medal in 1977. He could play at full back or in midfield,
and he had become a regular with England before his move to Leeds.
Injuries disrupted his time at Elland Road, and he was to gain just
one more cap after his move, and he managed just 78 games and 1 goal
in the 4 years he was at Leeds. Subsequently played for brother Jimmy
at Rochdale before retiring in 1984.
Simon Wood says: Acquired by Jimmy Adamson- scored a beauty against
Notts Forest (and Peter Shilton)- played in defence and midfield
