Jabba's Comments

Left-winger signed from junior football in Sheffield who played more games for Leeds during the war years than he did in "real" games. He was moved to the south-west to work during the war, and this lead to a post-war transfer to Bristol City.

Jabba says: Cheers to Barry from Somerset for the photo.

James Rhodes says: Jack Hargreaves was my great uncle and my mother still has his Central League winners medal for the 1936/7 season. At Yeovil Town, Jack was a member of the side that famously knocked Sunderland out of the 1949 FA Cup. He died in Bristol on 22nd December 1978.
