Horatio Iggleden was a talented player who was snapped up by
Leicester during the war while he was still in the RAF as a
pilot. Leeds swapped Ken Chisholm with Leicester to acquire Iggleden's
services, and it proved an excellent deal. He was top scorer in one
season - and repaid Leicester for the work they'd done in developing
him by grabbing a hat-trick against them in 1954. He spent a year at
Exeter but returned to Yorkshire to play non-league football with
Goole.
Terry Iggleden says: He is my dad - and he was never in the RAF.
Roger Davison says: my mother's maiden name was Iggleden and she
was from Hull. My Father who died in 1972 told me that there was an ex
footballer in the family who played for Leeds. This could be the man
do you know of any of his relations?
Shaun Iggleden says: Ray Iggleden was my dads' cousin
Derek Iggleden says: He's my fathers cousin. Mr name is Derek and
I Live in Huddersfield. My mothers name is Eileen and my late fathers
name was Robert (BOB).
