Leeds signed Jock McDougall quite late in a career that had seen some success north of the border. He became a key part of the Leeds defence that helped keep Leeds in the top flight in the mid-1930s, but retired from the professional game at the age of 36. He returned to his native Glasgow, where he died in 1973. His younger brother was also a Scottish international who played on both sides of the border - Jummy played for Partick and Liverpool.
