Jabba's Comments

YTS boy who graduated to the first team but only made two appearances. Released by Howard Wilkinson in 1989, he had a brief spell in Scandinavia on trial, but couldn't manage to make much of an impression there or on his return to England.

Ian Colwell says: Currently plying his trade with Highland League outfit Forres Mechanics. The legs have gone and can now be found sweeping. Or more to the point on the bench! Recently appeared against Dundee United in the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup.

Peter Maguire says: the dates are wrong they should be finished playing for Huddersfield in 1991. Jabba says: oops - I'll correct the stats real soon....

Andy Barnes says: I could tell you about the time we went on a lads holiday & Maggy jumped onto a podium in a club, wearing only his shorts, pulling them up his arse (chippendale style), forgeting all about his seriously bad s***s. But I won't. He's a top bloke & I hope I see him again soon.

Ian Colwell says: Now at Lossiemouth in the Highland League, still sweeping I believe. Mind you, it wont be long before he's playing Sunday Mags?

Brian Loveland says: the weight must be wrong hes now nearer 171 kg. Still makes every tackle a 2 footed one take care mags see you soon.

Peter Maguire says: hi jabba how's it goin'. I had a fantastic time while i was at Leeds especially during my apprentice days with the likes of David Batty and Gary Speed and many others that really didn't make it like myself. Its good to hear from Barnsy, who is an old school friend and was best man at my wedding in 97 and who i've not seen for a couple of years. Also Nobby (Ian Calwell) and Brian, by the way Brian you still owe me £50 quid ye bald bas***d, good luck with the wee one on the way. Any way Jabba i'm off, i've left my email address so if any one out there still thinks i'm a hero or who knows me get in touch especially any of the 'Leeds Lads', they know who they are
