Northerner who started his career at the age of 17 with QPR and moved around quite a bit before coming up to join Leeds at the age of 25. He had a fairly successful season and a half, but then lost his place to Albert Nightingale and moved back to one of his former clubs, Torquay United. He played on for 10 years and spent a further 10 at the club working on the coaching staff, and stayed in the area when he retired from the game. He died in 1994.

John Corbett says: Don Mills was my hero throughout my teens. He was in a class of his own in the old Third Division South. Style with a cutting edge. Later I saw hid reincarnation when Alan Hudson played for Stoke.
