Stan Moore joined Leeds from non-league Worksop Town in 1931 and
then succeeded Jimmy Potts between the sticks in 1932. Halfway through
the 1934-35 season he sustained an injury which was to end his career
at Leeds - although he did go on to play for Swansea until his
retirement during the war. He returned to Yorkshire later in life and
died in Leeds in 1983.
Peter Moore says: I am the son of the said Stan Moore, I am now
aged 67 and living in Pudsey West Yorkshire. I have some old photos of
my dad, both from his days at Leeds and Swansea, can anyone out here
help me obtain match programmes of those days, if so please contact me
on 0113 2562860. At the start of the 2nd World War the family moved
back to Leeds, where I still live. I am an avid Leeds fan,but still
take an interest in the Swans, if anyone out there can remember my
late dad playing for Swansea I would be delighted to hear from
them.
