Popular and pacy left-winger who was picked up on a free from
Yorkshire Amateurs after Sheffield United had turned down the chance
to sign the Leeds-born player. Played a crucial part in the Leeds side
that climbed back up to Division 1 in 1956 and kept his place through
three years before being released to Sunderland in 1960.

playing lots and lots of golf, regardless of the weather. He is
