Jabba's Comments |
Right back who had signed at Leeds as an apprentice from Morton, but
only made a couple of appearances for the first team. A trial at Doncaster
lead to a permanent move.
Anon says: I went to school with Vincent, or 'Totty' as he was
called (I've no idea why). As far as I remember everyone in our year
considered him to be the best footballer in the school, far better
than the other star player Paul Lambert. Vincent was a nice guy - he
was sweet to everyone and didn't feel the need to laud his skills and
talent over the others. He smiled at me a few times, despite the fact
I wasn't one of the most popular kids at school. Not much you might
think, but his example affected the way others around him behaved, for
the better. I'll always think nice thoughts about that guy.
Brian Hamilton says: I don't remember Vinne playing for Leeds but
now he turns out occasionally for Horsforth St Margarets Reserves who
are in the top three of the Harrogate and District League. The 1st
team play in the Premier Division of the West Yorkshire League. I've
seen H St M three times this season and enjoyed every game. They are a
strong side with some talented youngsters.
