Jabba's Comments

Compact centre-forward who joined Leeds from local football in 1942. Didn't make his full league debut until after Leeds' disastrous relegation season and did well when given his chance in Division 2. After two seasons in the side he was swapped with Southend for Frank Dudley.

John Wright says: met him in hospital 10 of july 2002 in Southend. He is fine but his wife was unwell. Looks very fit, still smokes and has all his marbles. After Southend he played for Clacton but still lives in Southend

Robert Thompson says: Albert Wakefield is my Graddads uncle. He wasn't born in pudsey he was born in Pontifract. But his sister was born in pudsey. He still lives in southend and he is doing well.
