Jabba's Comments |
Stalwart keeper from the early days of the club - and known as a
bit of a joker. Fred Whalley was first choice keeper for three years
before Billy Down took his place, and was well known for his casual
attitude - chatting to fans behind the goal when the ball was in the
opposition half. He returned to his native Preston on retiring from
the professional game.
