Jabba's Comments |
A left-sided attacking player we got on loan who was given the
number of Lee Sharpe, a left-sided attacking player we let go on
loan. Looked reasonable in his few appearances, but was tapped up by
GG and Spurs, so refused to sign a perfectly reasonable contract that
he was offered by Leeds. His first season at Spurs was ruined by
injury, and it looks like Leeds might have staged a lucky escape by
not signing him.
In the end he was forced to retire from the game with a hip injury
in October 2001 and in 2002 he returned to his hometown club of
Nijmegen as a coach.
