Jabba's Comments |
When he arrived at Elland Road he seemed to be a useful prospect -
if he was half as good as the previous left-back we acquired from
Chelsea, he'd have done very well. However he didn't figure much in
the early half of the 1998-99 season - a notable contribution being a
red card at Nottingham Forest - and failed to set the world on
fire. Rumours circulated of his departure back to London to rejoin
George Graham at Spurs, but he started 1999-2000 on loan at Man City
and the move became permanent in October. With King Kev expanding the
squad and competition for places hotting up at Maine Road, Granville
moved back to London and became a regular for Palace.
Jimmy says: I met Danny at a wedding he is a quality down to earth
geezer and deserves to be a pro footballer.
Steve Simson says: Danny is a good friend of mine. When we were
younger Danny used to play in the flats with me and my mates. Danny
was a few years younger than us so maybe we helped him play against
the big boys? We used to call him greedy cause he was always running
with the ball trying to score alone, but what a fantastic thing that
turned out to be and we are all very proud at what Danny has turned
out to be and achieve in his career - i.e. euro cup winners cup medal
winner. So good luck Dan.
Tony Hawkuns says: only once on TV did I see Danny and as one of
his many cousins I'm very proud.
Nicole says: I remember Danny running around my frony room but
naked ( not a bad sight if i do say so ).
Hayley says: i went to see the palace match on the 28th dec. i saw
number 3 and fought he was very hot stuff! he look so fit running
round the pitch! im gona buy a big poster of him a put it up on my
wall!
Tommo says: I'm a palace fan and i want to say thanks for letting
him go because he is now a very good premiership full back and one of
the main reasons palace will stay up this season
