A solid Leeds-born defender, Martin Dickinson made his Leeds debut shortly after his 17th birthday, but it was to be a further two years (and with Leeds down in Division 2) before he won himself a regular place in the side. He also made the occasional appearance in midfield, but found himself on the fringes of Eddie Gray's side as Andy Linighan and Neil Aspin took on the central defensive roles.

Dickinson moved on to West Brom in 1986, and then to Sheffield United two years later but found his professional career ended as a result of injuries sustained in a car crash.

Only kidding Dicko. I remember him being "all arms" and he was all over you like a rash in midfield. Hope you are well old lad. The last I heard of him he was selling ladies underwear stolen from washing lines.....or something like that!
