Re: Her Game Too
I think I did overreact further up the thread to the dismissive comment about my own comments, but on the other hand, I prefer to consider what people say and respond by giving my opinions as thoughtfully as possible, and it annoys me when others don't meet the same standard. At the risk of sounding...

Re: Why Leeds United ?
They were just the local professional club. No great mystery about it. Also liked (and still like) rugby (both codes). In the area I grew up, any reference to 'football' was normally to rugby league, not the 'other football' played with the round ball. Do you still live in the area ? What RL & ...

Re: Hello
I'm now designated as Terry Venables' car dealer. I suppose that's not as risky as being George Graham's transfer agent.

Re: Who’s a naughty boy
Not saying it's the case here, but it can be a sign that the players are out of their depth and need to either up their game or go down a division for a while. I repeat that if lots of players in a side are picking up a disciplinary record, it could be because they aren't ready to play at that leve...

Re: Her Game Too
I think they should just stick to football and give up the preaching. Apart from that, what is 'sexism'? Who decides how it is defined and what the definition entails? It seems to be an agenda-riven concept and interpreted in one direction only. I could co-opt their own language and argue that they...

Re: Bielsa v Marsch
Does it all boil down to this: Marsch is the 49ers frontman. A fairly mediocre manager (not a bad manager, just nothing spectacular), he has been talked up in the media a lot. He fits in with the Western American/San Francisco/Californian-type culture of the minority owners. His face fits with them ...

Not saying it's the case here, but it can be a sign that the players are out of their depth and need to either up their game or go down a division for a while. So what are you saying? A few of those near the top of the list would likely leave if we went down. To me it shows they are still committed...

Re: Bielsa v Marsch
Impossible to compare them as Leeds managers because Marsch has not had a fair shake. Also two managers with very different styles and priorities: Bielsa - academic/technician. Not great at man-management, and lacks English fluency, therefore heavily reliant on able coaches and various assistants wh...
