Re: 2022 - 2023 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

When it comes to Raphinha and Phillips the obvious answer is that we should try to keep our best players. In the old days that would've been much easier. Now we have a situation where both players are down with 2 years left of their contract, they are very attractive players for richer and better (...

Re: Greetings from across the pond

Welcome, Joe. Another great reason to follow Leeds United is that we are playing some of the most exciting attacking football that you’re likely to see at the moment. We don’t always win, but you’re guaranteed to see a great game with plenty of action at both ends. And if you’re looking for a club w...

Re: Bamford for England

It must be difficult playing in a team where no one will pass to you. Kane is obviously used to it, he has to go and get the ball himself.

Re: 2021 - 2022 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

We need to improve the squad every season, just to be able to hold our position in this league. I can’t see that happening in this window. Unless we make a couple of decent signings in the next 2 weeks, I’m afraid that we my be taking a backwards step.

Re: 2021 - 2022 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

If we look at the squad in terms of replacing players who have left, it looks like we have some business still to do… Berardi - could be argued that a replacement is not needed, with Drameh looking like an able deputy for Ayling. Casilla- replaced by Klaessen, but looking light on experience. Dougla...

Re: Alioski

This might be an unpopular opinion, but the antics that some considered amusing and characterful might also be considered to be childish, irresponsible and unprofessional. I think he stepped over that line a few times. While I don’t doubt that he gave his all in every game, and he also scored a few ...

Re: Alioski: Stay or Go

I appreciate the effort that the lad puts in, and he seems to be a popular team member, but I wouldn’t be disappointed if he moved on. He does some brainless things from time to time, and often gives the ball away needlessly. I hope we’re going to be bringing in a quality left back this summer, so i...

Re: Player of the season

My vote goes to Kalvin Phillips for Player of the Season. Dallas in second. Whole squad has been amazing in so many ways. Guess Dallas will get it, we love a good grifter at Leeds and he has worked very hard indeed. Just think Phillips offers that little bit more overall. :) Hope you mean grafter.....

Re: Southampton vs Leeds United Memories

My first Leeds United away game was in 1993 v Southampton at The Dell. After winning the league in that brilliant season of 91/92, we had an awful run of form the next season. I may be wrong, but I’m not sure if we won away all season, and going into this game, I think we hadn’t won away for 14 mont...

Re: 2020-21 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

How unique is Bielsa’s version of a left back? Alioski is sprinting back and forth the length of the pitch the entire match. He’s also seems extremely aggressive and high energy defensively in attacking the ball. It makes me wonder how many left backs have that level of commitment. Does Bielsa’s sy...
