Re: TC Sacked

We need someone who's better than Championship, most of them are poor and with bad tactics and limited potential. No dinosaurs either. Last two managers to win the league, Benitez and Nuno, both former Champions League managers. A Manager of that calibre would insist on complete control of football...

Re: TC Sacked

Exactly. A couple of defeats and the fans will start calling for the new guy's head too. Sadly that is so right. Whoever comes in needs time & the support of not just Radz but us the fans. And for me that is why we need a respected manager appointed with a view to the long term. Fans will have ...

Re: TC Sacked

No chance it will be Silva. He wouldn't come into this setup and his wages would be well above what Leeds would be prepared to pay a "head coach". He will probably bide his time for when another Premier League position comes up. Another problem for whoever it is will be is that we are star...

Re: TC Sacked

Orta should be clearing his desk also. One of the reasons we won't get a quality replacement is because Orta is deciding the squad when it should be the manager. My ideal scenario is the players turning up at Thorpe Arch tomorrow morning to be greeted by a smiling Mick McCarthy. We need someone who ...

Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

I've just had a further look at Ouasim Buoy's stats on Wikipedia as TC mentioned him in the press conference yesterday. I didn't realise he has made 70+ appearances for clubs in the top divisions of Italy, Germany, Greece and Netherlands. Whatever about his current form, he must have had something a...

Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

Thanks for that. So going by that we have 79 professionals at the club without including those out on loan who (correct me if I'm wrong) make up the first team, U23 and U18 side. .

Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

I'd love to see a list of all the players on our books. I don't necessarily buy the line that we dont have many U23's. As Scottish Leeds pointed out, we are fielding almost entirely different teams from game to game. I mentioned Stokes development being blocked, but what about the likes of Grot or S...

Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

Leeds have terminated the contract of striker Eoghan Stokes by mutual consent. Really disappointed to see Stokes go without getting some time out on loan or a proper chance to prove himself in the first team. It was trumpeted yesterday that Roberts is a regular U21 international, well so is Stokes....

Re: 2017/18 Transfer Rumours and Squad Discussions

I think from last nights commentary it was implied Pennington may be available for Saturday. We had young Tom Pearce a CB on the bench last night. We also have the likes of Paudie O'Connor and the Finnish lad we shelled out 500k for who have both played at senior level in other leagues. I think if w...

Re: New Badge

I would say the rose with the football in the centre is uniquely Leeds United and part of the heritage of the club. If you took the text off this badge and showed it to the average fan up and down the country and asked them what club this represents they would know it was Leeds United, which is more...
