Nightmare scenario, glad you all got home safely.

I've had a couple of moments like that and you get very aware, very quickly of just how fast all the other vehicles are going as they flash past your stationary vehicle. Losing power on the motorway can be scary stuff.

Hope the liquid refreshments also settled the nerves!

We’re off to walk around a village about 8km from us in a little while doing a thing called Adventure Labs a branch of Geocaching. The village is on the Trent & there’s a tearoom there we will be taking advantage of. There’s also 3 geocaches there we will hopefully pick up. Could do the journey easily but are getting there via backroads as I hate the M1.

Had another physio session this morning as my balance isn’t good I’ve been booked into see a young lady called Laura to have 4 gym sessions over the next 2 weeks, start Monday morning 10:30. A couple of hours before my appointment I get my long awaited MRI scan results . Oscar my physio is convinced with some hard work by me I can get rid of my stick. Can’t believe that I have an appointment in just 7 days given the pressure the NHS is under.

Wow that is quick is it QMC or City ? Good luck with the MRI scan results . Things have obviously gone downhill quickly as weren’t you awarded a blue badge a bit back ? The NHS in Nottingham is still a cut above imho.

Might be an old wives tale but read yesterday that if you grow lavender outside your patio doors it’ll keep flys out of the house, apparently they don’t like the smell. Myth or truth ?

Could actually be true. I planted 2 planters with lavender in the spring in the back garden and was commenting on the lack of flies in the house this summer. They're a bit away from the door though.

No mate, it’s still in bits at the garage as far as I know.

On the upside, I’m test driving a lot of nice courtesy cars, an Audi A5 (a bit too quick for a man of my age :D) being the highlight.
