Somebody gave me a few misc' CDs, this one 'Class of 55', I have listened to a couple of times commuting.
Recorded in Memphis 1986, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and Carl Perkins get together sounding like 1955.
It's a mix of country, rockabilly, and very early sounding rock and roll.
Listening with your eyes closed you could imagine being at a 'Hop' or a drive in burger joint surrounded by dudes wearing 50's clothes.
Well it's not really my cup of tea, but I'll give it another try, see what might grow on me from these rock and roll royalty.
