Looking back on last season, it's my opinion in that if we had our early season defensive problems solved sooner, no doubt we would be playing European football this coming season. Before we were really settled at the back, and before we really hit our stride, take the first 28 games up to Feb 28 against Villa. In certain games(draws or 1 goal defeats) a total of 8 GOALS LESS, 1goal per game,in 8 specific games, conceded in those 26 games would have given us 9 points put us in 4th position. Even less than the 8 goals against would still have got us in Europe.
When you think of all the errors from set pieces, and not having Koch and Lorente fit, would we be in Europe? I think so.
