This picture taken a couple of years ago when fishing at the Cape Cod Canal, Massachusetts, USA.
Cape Cod canal 11 miles long 660 ft wide connects 2 bays either side of Cape Cod peninsula.
Interesting thing is that the 2 bays, Cape cod, & Buzzards Bay have different high/low tides. This leads to strong current which changes direction every 6 hours.

Re: Random picture thread
Was setting up to take pictures through my 200mm telescope for the first time. Was using the moon in the daytime to get my focus right when an airliner flew through the picture. Started manually chasing it and snapping photos. After checking the memory card, I found this one. The aircraft was at 10,000 meters.

I think this is the 1969 team who tried to qualify for the 1970 World Cup.
I saw most of these players turn out for their clubs. Middle row left, Bobby Chalmers who played in South Africa, George Shaya center of middle row, Played for Dynamos, best player ever to play in Rhodesia /Zimbabwe, Middle row far right side, Topsy Robertson good goalscorer, played for brewery sponsored team Chibuku, my brother in law was Chibuku secretary. next left of him, my Wife's cousin, one of the Cheiza brothers who played for Mangula.
Came across this photo when researching Ken Bates business dealing in Rhodesia when he was chairman of Oldham Athletic.
