LufcTalk Hall of Fame Inductee - Lucas Radebe

Post by Selby White »

The Chief is one of my favourite all time Leeds players not only because he was a great player for us but because he always came over as such a humble person and showed people what is often lacking "loyalty".

Was the first South African to play in the premier league and had the honour of leading his country in two World Cups.
After retirement he was influential helping his country secure the 2010 World Cup.

Prior to that world cup the England captain was fortunate to meet two famous people ;)

A model professional he deservedly won the Fifa fair play award in 2000.

You are really special when you influence a Pop Group to name themselves after you not mentioning a man such as Nelson Mandela says about you "He is my hero".

Radebe revealed in September 2010 that he would like to manage Leeds United in the future and also manage the South African national side. He said both jobs were the only coaching jobs that he would consider. In July 2012, it was announced that Radebe had accepted a position as team manager with the South African national side.
Who Knows ? :D
