I visit Ponte Squash Club twice per week which is opposite the Haribo factory.
Not sure how old the club is so you may not remember it.

Ps Kikos nightclub is closed

And will be in Italy next week but not Veneto, visiting the capital.

I remember that squash club being built, mid-80s I think.

I've only set foot in Kiko's once, when it was called Liberties or something, to drag my sister's mate (from Cas) out as I was driving them home. She was totally bladdered and snogging all and sundry, but I wanted to get home to have a few cans. Dreadful dive, but an important part of local history!

What you off down that Rome for?

Just first abroad holiday since covid so doing a city break to dip the foot back in the water.
Friends recommended Rome to us, been to Italy a few times but never Rome.
Rimini as a child, walking hol in tuscany & Cilento bit more recent. Oh not forgetting our honeymoon was in Sardinia.

When I'm in the UK visiting relatives my American wife makes me stop off at the Haribo factory shop every time we come over. She doesn't understand Pontefract Cakes at all though, thinks they're disgusting and the height of weird British candy, lol
