I couldn’t find one encouraging MLS transfer. Most marquee moves are keepers which I think we can agree are if a different variety than an outfield player.

As others have stated, the Bundeskiga tax is a colloquialism for the idea that players moving to the Prem get worse generally because the Prem is better, therefore prices for their production in the Prem end up looking inflated. It’s true of literally every league, the Bundesliga just is the worst culprit (of the big 4 leagues).

Harkes played in the PL before the MLS was formed, his spell there came after his time with Derby. Gil only came to MLS after Villa, he was in Spain before that

I wouldn’t underestimate the pace of improvement of players from America - this current generation are the best by a long shot and many have already made the move to top European leagues (just look at the USMNT on Wikipedia)

Romano has posted saying we have told Manure Meslier is off limits and will not be sold at any price. Seems the rumours about their interest were true but a good solid stance from the board.

Marsch in presser say they think highly of Willy Gnoto. Said Leeds are active in transfer market, they have time and think there will be movement. Marsch said "some dominoes will fall and we have to be ready."

Also said "Gnonto wouldn't be Premier League ready. Would be a longer-term thing and not certain to happen in this window", which is more important. So he will be not that striker.

It really would be an odd move to try to avoid blocking one diminutive 18 year old prodigy's path to first team football by signing another diminutive 18 year old prodigy.

He played about 250 minutes for Italy against Germany, England and Hungary in competitive matches this summer and got 1G / 1A. I find it quite hard to believe he is Italian national team ready, but not Premier League ready.

Wheter he is the right type of player is another thing, but he should be capable to play in the Premier League from day 1.

Agree Polka he's also played around 60 times in the Swiss top flight which I would put on par with the Austrian League where we've signed from. Achieving that at 18years old suggests a special talent.
