Hopes/wishes: We don’t have as many long term injuries as last term. We don’t concede as many goals.

Fears: There’s still the fear of relegation & until long term major investment is put into the squad that fear won’t go away

We continually improve the squad each window with 1 world class player in and 1 not quite good enough out

We are in a transition season IMHO. Newish and untried / untested Head Coach and Backroom staff. A bunch of untried and untested players. I am hopeful of a better season than last.

Fears: The new management structure not working out

Hopes/wishes: Team gels quickly and we don't hit a particularly bad run without victory. Continuous average runs of a win, loss and a couple of draws will be fine by me.

Fears:
1. New recruits are not up to PL pace/physicality

Fears: Don’t really have any what will be will be Que Sera.

Hopes/wishes: mid-table with no worry of relegation, more clean sheets and goals

Fears: World cup starts and we are entrenched in the bottom 3

I think that about sums it up - The squad needed updating for various reasons but is it to much in one go - Yet we had no choice, so all a bit untested - Key is to take 35/40 points from the clubs below 10th place and pick up 5-10 points from above that - Looking forward to a good season and consolidating our position in the PL, with a view to taking on the likes of W Ham the season after and on the edge of UEFA - Would be great to get to the final, semis at worse, in either of the two cup competitions, but not at the expense of the PL

Hopes & wishes - Play players in their proper positions no more square pegs in round holes. Stop giving cheap soft goals away especially at set pieces. Get your shooting boots on Leeds, I want to see more chances and more goals.
Fears - We start badly and can't get any momentum or confidence going.
