I object to that you sound like your in the Naz Shah camp of telling the likes of the Rotherham sex abuse victims to ‘shut their mouths for the good of diversity’.
Sorry but statements like that aimed at other members are uncalled for on this forum and irrelevant to the debate.
Think before you post something that will inflame bad feeling please.

TBF tho Selb. I think telling someone they talk Racist Bile is not appropriate either. I will never understand why someone who raises concerns of paedophilia being undertaken by grooming games for the last 20 years is called a racist. Its a fact.

People are right to criticise his decision based on that fact alone.
However some of the posts here used to get points across are just dragging the forum down IMHO.
From Brexit to grooming gangs to Princess Di are things we've visited before and really don't come into this debate.
Whatever your political views each case should be discussed on its own merits. Dare I say one thing I believe is whether you are capitalist or socialist you are probably not right all the time, even if you think you are.

Please keep debate civil and relevant.
THIS!!!!!! top post SW, Well said, there's far too much undertone stuff going on here that needs to stop. There's arguing your points but there's a genuine tit for tat undercurrent from some very established members here WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

I'm not being funny but whenever politics is mentioned on this forum some of the so called regular posters seem to believe it's a free for all to attack other members posts. I'm not mentioning names but come on guys I am growing very tired of it. It seems to be the same people dragging the forum down and its not very appealing.

The very same thing happened to an old friend of mine, only it was her father. To make matters worse, he died in a care home along with several other victims of Covid-19. A care home where zero PPE was provided.
It's personal for a lot of people.
It's one rule for them and another for us.
It's a despicable abuse of power.
It's wrong. End of.
Its the way i explain things. I was meaning that if Journalists were told (or not?) to follow Cummings to see where he was going then they too would have to explain themselves. Tbf i haven't followed the story that closely so i don't know the evidence, pictures ect.

Anyway, back to Coronavirus. I just had a text from a friend in Weston-super-Mare. He cycles every morning in an effort to combat the effects of a serious cake addiction. This morning he had to brake hard to avoid running into a woman who had walked in front of him. She was from the Midlands. She said "Sorry, love. We're all meeting up. We can do what we want now". I'm not saying that is directly attributable to Mr Cummings but …

In other news, Weston-super-Mare General Hospital is closed to new patients due to Covid-19.

One thing that amazes me are the present regional differences in R number. Given there is almost direct correlation between population density & infection/death rate - certainly in Europe. It was logical London had high infection rates whilst more rural areas had less. Now it seems to be reversed which might point to something like herd immunity??? However one would have to assume a good 50% of the London population had been infected in that case??

TBF, Vid I commented on this following my previous post aimed at all members to keep on track and keep it civil.
ISR decided to continue the debate so I responded directly to this post.

The South-West had one of the lowest infection rates in the country. Whilst herd immunity may have something going for it, it seems to go against the advice of medics from nearly every other country. As for the hospital closure, I wouldn't be surprised if it was caused by the influx of people wanting to sit on the beach a couple of weeks ago - outsiders bringing the virus in to a fairly well isolated community.

Did I say it was?
And using words such as mates is pathetic, to my knowledge I've never met yourself or ANS or many others on here.

As for moderators yes we are seen as a group but to suggest it's a close nit group of mates is wrong we all have different opinions, it fact I find the mates accusation quite offensive.
Just trying to keep this in order as a moderator but you are trying to find an argument that isn't there.
If you saw it I posted earlier asking all members to keep on track and keep it civil, I responded directly to your post as it was after that.

For the record I sometimes agree and disagree with both yourself and ANS.
