Just put a steak and kidney mix in the crockpot for later. Pastry will be added as will mashed potatoes, swede, peas and carrots.

Re: What are you having for dinner tonight
Tonight we made a stir fry of beef, mushrooms and cashew nuts......my concept very well executed by Mrs MW. The inclusion of fish sauce and lime juice probably meant this was a nod towards Thai cuisine.
For me, at 67 years old, it seems faintly ridiculous to have only just discovered the benefits of this method of preparing something so tasty. I scoffed when I saw a recipe that said marinate the meat for 20 minutes, but, boy, it makes a difference! And only 200g of beef between the two of us.....

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, swede, cauliflower cheese, peas, stuffing, homemade bread sauce, cranberry sauce and gravy. Might add a Yorkshire pudding as well.
